Recently headed back to Delray for a long weekend and of course headed back to Saltwater Brewery. Last time we were there was for their grand opening in December. Again, did not disappoint. Many new brews and even a new spin on my favorite Sea Cow Milk Stout. Many new additional since we have been there last, live entertainment, TVs, corn hole and they are even serving wine. We picked up a growler to take home and even a couple of t shirts. We will back down for the winter and this will certainly be a regular stop for us. Thanks Saltwater

It's a great place to hang out and drink delicious beer. Great new flavors to try all the time. A favorite so far is the Black Current....I hear it is coming back this fall. Helpful bartenders, very clean, very friendly brewery. Love all their artwork and their involvement in the community and passion for the ocean. I am happy to support a local business like this and wish them all the best.

Simply put, Saltwater Brewery is hard to beat. An absolutely beautiful bar just off of Atlantic Avenue (a healthy distance from the crowded, downtown collection of restaurants, clubs, etc.), the beer is fantastic and only getting better, and the staff is kick-ass. If you're in Delray Beach, you couldn't ask for a better place to stop for a round.

Excellent set up service and beer only thing I say wrong is the parking lot not enough spots and everything around it tow away zone signs all over

It is A - OK. What craft brewery wouldn't be at least that, right? This market is ripe, lottsa thirsty folks here..hint hint to other aspiring entrepreneurs. Definitely hoping for more brewery's to open in S FLA soon! Fresh beer 10 minutes from home here and at Due South for me whoopie! I was psyched with high hopes for top notch hops. The Screaming IPA was really quite good and fully lived up to my expectations. On a par with Cat 3 or 4 from Due South IMO. I can definitely see my buddy Howie dropping a shot of SOCO in it to sweeten it up! He invented the SO CAT3 and is into fusion. (I suppose he would have to sneak a nip in to do that or grab a growler for home.) The double IPA was also damn tasty and because it was craft beer week only $4 bucks, a bargain. I had 3 of them and it practically crippled me. Careful. So, why the 3 review and not higher? First off I would say lets call it 3.5 but it was happy hour and very busy, not crazy busy but busy enough to be a hassle at the bar and the brewery was noticeably understaffed. Just 2 servers behind the bar didn't cut it They have a lousy setup which allows for people to cut you in what constitutes a line divided with a pole and bottom line nobody likes to wait in line for 10 minutes when your low on suds. Please fix that guys. Parking was a minor problem too as the opposite side of the street has no parking signs which had to be ignored ie violated. Although I see assurances are made that nobody will get towed and I didn't think I would get towed but still it makes you think twice if you don't know. No food, no problem though I could see a vending machine opportunity there. I brought a big bag of peanuts and other folks had food coming from the Delivery Dudes who I imagine are scoring well here. Bathrooms big and clean, a plus. Big TV inside made me feel as if I could watch a game here. Mini cornhole game outside on the deck with a nice table shuffle board inside. Also a juke box that somebody had loaded up with 10 credits so that was cool. Another cool touch was that they had plugins for cell phone recharging. I wish all bars did this! And it's nice to be able to wave at the working stiff suckers driving by on Atlantic heading west while your cooling your heels. Over all a nice joint. I am glad they are here, wish them luck but hope make it easier to get your beer when it's busy. Add 1 more server. If they straighten out the service issue it goes up to a 4 immediately.

whoever said that it is maid out of saltwater is just... whatever :) it is great beer, look at the alcohol content, otherwise it WILL, and i repeat IT WILL hurt the next day (believe me). Beer tastes great, especially that if you are over what is being sold around. atmosphere is amazing, people are super friendly, and all of the beers are super tasty, i wish they would be a bit more hoppy, but that is a personal preference (i did try them all). i also wish they would have been bit more interesting flavors, like for example creme brule beer that i have tried not too long ago, etc ... overall this place deserves 5 stars, as it is one of my favorite and only truly local breweries that is truly unique!

Excellent addition to the local brewery scene. Very comfortable , laid back and young lady behind the bar was very knowledgeable and friendly. Ask for the Oil Spill mixture of beer she came up with...very smooth. Great selection of beer. Went after work on a Monday afternoon so parking was no problem. Just like Due South and Tequesta Brewing Company, Saltwater is a tasting room , not a restaurant or bar and grill.

  • Adam S.

It's tough to give this place just two stars because the atmosphere is nice and relaxing with plenty of space and even a couple of TVs to watch the game. But ultimately this is a brewery and this needs to be mostly about the beer. I've probably tried nearly a dozen at this point and can only note one or two I really enjoyed. With so many other breweries in the area pumping out better beers, it's tough to give Saltwater high marks. That said, you should certainly give it a try if you're a beer drinker because it may hit you right. Good place with good people who always keep it flowing behind the bar.

This is really nice place to just hangout with friends or after a long day. I would say that the beer here is comparable with funky Buddha (just my opinion) I wish that they had more of a variety but after all they just opened a few months ago. On the up side; their is a food truck, it's right off of I95 and an outdoor seating area. I would definitely go there again.

  • Julie T.

SaltWater Brewery is conveniently located just west of I-95, so that's a huge bonus. It's right next to the railroad tracks, so you get to feel the rumble of the train every so often. The "reef room" inside is nice and cozy, albeit a little smaller than I was expecting. There are couches, some high top barrel tables, a game that I've ever played before but I would equate it to tabletop shuffleboard, and the bar. Behind all that, you can see into the brewery. The "tropical beer garden" outside is actually very beautiful with picnic tables, some grass, palm trees and shrubbery. I wish I could have enjoyed it, but it's just too darn hot out to go outside in the summer. We sampled some fantastic brews, and checked into Yelp for our free tasting glasses. On Sunday afternoon, I didn't see a food truck, but I know they typically have a lot of food trucks that serve here. I happily sipped on the Stinger Double IPA. It's a nice solid IPA if that's your thing. And the other beer that really stood out to me was the 64 Oz to Freedom. It's a wit aged on blueberries and raspberries and I thought it was truly unique. The fruit is very subtle, so the light and refreshing wit beer gets a nice hint of sweetness. The service was fantastic, he was so helpful, honest and friendly. I would love to come back, especially for one of their special events or new beer releases.

Been here a few times, so time for review. I am partial to hoppy beers, so I went pale ales. Started with one of they're core beers...Screemin' Reel IPA 7%. Excellent! Decided to move to a 4 beer flight. Tinc'd Out Turtle is a black rye IPA 7.6%...tastes like a stout & IPA had a bastard child, it is good. Tides Belgian IPA 4.2% - light on hops, but has crisp flavor. Not my style. Probably appeals to masses and is why they have it on core beer list. Spiny Tail English-style Pale Ale 6% - kind of a caramel flavor. Pretty good and easy drinking beer. Stinger Double IPA 9.5% - nice solid robust flavor IPA. Can't drink too many at 9.5% though. Bottom line for IPA drinkers: can't go wrong with Screamin' Reel or Stinger.

We had a great time here wrapping up a day of drinking at this very cool remodel of an old barn/feed store. The only real issue I had with this brewery was the selection of beer they had when we were there. The selection was pretty basic. There was an ipa, a pilsner, a stout, etc, etc. There was nothing really inventive or imaginative that would drive me to come back or insist that others have to go try them out. The guys behind the bar were very cool and engaged us in some great conversation about the place, beers, and their growlers which we took one to go along with some great swag they had for sale at their marketing counter. Next time we are in the area we will definitely check them out again, hopefully the beer selection will be new and improved!

Saltwater Brewery has such a fabulous, laid back, welcoming vibe and great brews! On this visit, I had the raspberry reef and enjoyed every sip of this subtly fruity ale. I also love the sea cow, which is a creamy milk stout. This is my favorite craft brewery so far. The Saltwater staff was friendly and welcoming. I love the comfortable atmosphere of the tasting room and the great view of the brewery operations behind the glass walls. It's so interesting! With a long bar, hightops, couch seating, an outdoor patio and games, there is somewhere for almost everyone to be comfortable. If you love craft beer, try Saltwater Brewery! You won't be sorry. With about 14 of their own brews on tap, you will find something to savor.

Been here twice and now know enough to write a review. A lot more to this little jewel than it would appear. Terrific bar-staff that knows its product (kudos to Bennie, Julia and Will). Lot's of activities different nights of the week (tabletop shuffleboard, painting classes, trivia night, live music), big deep comfortable sofas in front of massive TVs to pass the time with friends ..... and, oh yeah, beer! Lot's of it. There is a constantly changing selection of brews on tap, so they will most most likely be pouring something you like. And if you don't care for any of the activities you can always sit at the bar and talk up the friendly bar-staff. Wanna go to a place where e everybody knows your name?

  • Sam P.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and were surprised to see the place was pretty full. They have a great patio with cornhole and ring toss and lots of tables with umbrellas. I had a flight with their English ale, their milk stout, and two others that were not IPAs. They had 9 beers on tap (4 were IPAs). I loved their English ale. Very caramely and smooth. Brian had their screaming reel IPA and thought it was great. The prices are fair and beer was quite good! Great service too!

SaltWater has definitely been on my "to-visit" brewery list for some time now. I loved the relaxed vibe of this Brewery! The decor was very "salt life" even though it was kind of far from the beach. I didn't know that the building used to be a stop for the train back in the day which was kind of cool historical value. The TV area with the comfy couches and that weird boccie ball table thing was great entertainment and relaxing. Kind of felt like I was at home hanging out drinking a beer with my friends. They have huge tables outside to enjoy the weather (when it's not 1,000 degrees out) with a dedicated corn hole area. They also have a BBQ style food truck on location which is nice since they don't serve food. It was a quiet Saturday afternoon so there wasn't too much excitement. Would definitely come back, possibly on a more lively evening, to enjoy a beer if I'm in the area!

  • Amanda P.

LOVE the atmosphere in this place! Had a great time playing shuffleboard. We had other folks beside us on the couches playing Jinga - everyone was having a great time. Super pleasant staff and they have some really great sours! If you like a good sour (which I do!), then you have to go to Saltwater and try the peach, blackberry, or cherry - all were delicious!

    (5)
  • Brett N.

Why 4 stars? Because everything was pleasant. --- --- --- Hitting up local breweries is one of my favorite things to do when traveling. I hadn't heard of Salt Water before, but luckily I was with Blue, the mayor of North-South Florida, so we this was our first stop as soon as I got into town. We each ordered flights, and the beer was solid. They also had kombucha on tap, which I grabbed a cup of, to go! The bartenders were friendly, and made this brief, yet necessary experience, an enjoyable one! I realize that this is one of the most generic reviews I have ever written, but I felt obligated to offer up a solid rating for these guys because I love supporting local breweries. Continue to fight the good fight against horrible, mass-produced brews! I have to add: the tap list looks so amazing as I'm looking at their website about a month after my visit! Sea Cow, Raspberry Reef, Waterman Wheat! All of these look great - I need to make a trip back!

  • Jacquelyn M.

Yes, please. =) I could not be happier that I live near this little gem brewery. I have been here numerous times, and the place has never disappointed. My beer taste is usually for the lighter to slightly almost no hoppy beers. However, my boyfriend likes the hops that punches every single taste bud at once. Extra IPA over here, please! The cool thing about Saltwater is that it has a beer for both of our tastes. I'm a big fan of Free Bird and he likes to try something different every time. As for the staff, they have been friendly and great about suggesting beers. The even cooler thing about this place is that you can bring your pup with you outside. If you ask the bartender, they will prepare a doggy water bowl for your four-legged friend.

Happened to discover when driving Orlando to Miami and got off in Delray. Great beers and I would love to see them add flatbreads to the menu to help me make a lunch stop out of it next time! Great place!

  • Ralf J.

Beautiful, clean, fun place to hang out. You can order beer by the glass, flight, or even growler. This is a great place to hang out and I've been here several times with friends. Each time I go, I have a great time. The people that work there are very nice, albeit slow at times. But they are all very friendly and informative. The only downside, as mentioned many times before, is that the beer just isn't very good. By this time, I think have tried every beer they brew, and none of them area great. You can also see how the beers rate by going to the "Beer Advocate" website. On a scale on 1-5, not one of their beers is even a 4. One thing important -- these beers are much better than your typical bottom shelf beers like Budweiser, Coors, Miller, Corona, etc. So if you are used to drinking Miller Lite, these beers will seem phenomenal. But for craft beer enthusiasts, SaltWater Brewery's best beers are in the middle of the pack. Their worst beers are well below average. That should not stop anyone from going and having fun. Enjoy!

  • Mark K.

Nice brewery. Great atmosphere and awesome taproom. Cool artwork on the walls from local artists. Live music (at least on weekends I guess). Beer is good but other breweries around the area beat them out taste wise. Nice place to hang out and wind down with craft beer. Staff are awesome and knowledgable. See Penny and Clay and they'll take great care of you! Five stars for staff and atmosphere.

  • Melissa W.

Great beer. Great atmosphere. LOVE the food trucks (especially PSI 561) that come hang out front.

  • I T.

My first at this brewery and that's where the simplicity meets the quality. They produce and service their own product right on the spot. The decor is a mix between the beach house and the sail boat. The outdoor seating is available. The service is pretty attentive to their costumers. I have ordered a flight of beers and my favorite was Amber Ale. I will comeback to SeaSalt on my next trip to Delray.

  • Cielito B.

Really loud. Beers tasted very similar. Not many choices. The place had the typical giant Jenga. There was a tabletop shuffleboard. Not as good as Funky Buddha.

    (3)
  • Domenique M.

Yes they a million types of beer but they don't have any food. Well they have food trucks on occasion that are mediocre at best. Inside is very dark. It's like a metal man cave.

    (3)
  • Amanda W.

Red Sea Rhino and Stinger 2X IPA. I could stop the review right there and it would explain it all. It's hard to describe my complete obsession with this brewery. The atmosphere and acoustics are absolutely perfect. It's like walking into my own beautifully designed space. My husband is a brewmaster and we are incredibly snobby about beer quality and design. Come here and be seriously blessed.

  • Alex S.

Cool place. I tried their Belgian blonde, regular IPA, double IPA, and their milk stout. I though the double IPA was the weakest tasting of the bunch but the rest were quite good. They had bc tacos as their food truck that particular night which went perfect with the beer. Overall nice little brewery. Will come back to try some more

    (4)
  • Rachelle L.

This place is a super nice surf/beachey vibe. They have food trucks outside and little snacks like chips and jerky. Unfortunately the beer just falls short. I tried quite a few and every single one was just blah. My poor friend who doesn't even drink beer was talked into having a beer named desayuno which had a jalapeño flavor to it. She tried maybe 6 before settling with that one, I tried everyone she tried and they were so lacking in flavor or not hoppy enough or too hoppy. I had an IPA then a double IPA all of which were just ok. It's shame. But I hear they're bringing a new master brewer on the team. Hopefully they see some improvement.

  • Ivan K.

I really did not like this location when they used to build furniture but now that Saltwater Brewery had open in this space it my favorite stop fir a craft beer in the area. They have many unique beers that are really excellent. My wife who used to not like beer has also become a fan if Saltwater especially the "Don't be Confused" Belgian triple IPA it's awesome.

  • Jamie F.

I completely understand getting into the brewery business because it is the hottest trend in South Florida right now. But my taste buds speak the truth. I have tried over ten different beers at Saltwater brewery on multiple occasions and I haven't like a single one. Even their special releases just don't taste right. Every beer leaves an aftertaste exactly like my homebrew beers taste. Yes. They have a variety of flavors but let's be real I can order the same kits online and brew the same beer. Aside from the great location they really have nothing else going on for themselves other than the fact that they just brew beers.

I'm so glad that so many breweries have been popping up locally. Even more glad that salt water opened. I had been planning on going for months, and finally did. And I was a happy craft beer drinking lady. *cheers* Situated right next to the train tracks and 95, literally at the Atlantic Ave exit. Parking can suck, but you deal. What I like..... They have an awesome tasting room. It's air conditioned and the bathrooms are clean (yes, I care). They have tv's, tables, games.... It's altogether lovely. Their beers are awesome too. You can get a 4 glass sampling for $6. You choose your 4 beers and go to town. My personal fav right now, the wine barrel aged beer (make sure it's not the raspberry one.... Although good, the other wine one is awesome!). They have some amazing stouts and porters. The sea cow is a staple for me. Besides the inside, they have a great porch with games, live music on certain nights and wait for it...... Food trucks! Check the schedule. Every Friday and Saturday. What I don't like..... Really nothing, just the parking sucks. Definitely one of my new favorite spots. A must go!

Beer! This is one of those reviews I only want to do, because I like Yelp so much. Otherwise, I'd keep this little gem in my back pocket. I came here hoping for a few good beers and found almost two dozen options that spanned the beer spectrum. They do a great job of describing their beers and use a clever "depth chart" to inform you on exactly what type of beer you are getting. You can also ask for tastes before committing to a full glass. I personally like the trial and error method best. The way I look at it is you either picked a winner/ possible new favorite OR you're so-so on the beer and drink it that much faster to pick your next one. It's a win-win approach... assuming you have a DD in your group. They don't have food... and that's a good thing! At the entrance you'll see a schedule for the food trucks that stop by outside. I like the CubanoB truck. Try their burger with chorizo on Cuban bread bun. Mmm MMM! I like this set up, because it allows the brewery to concentrate on what they do best, while still allowing patrons to satisfy their hunger and stay for a few extra beers. I won't go into too much detail on their selection, because it's best if you go in experience them for yourself. You won't be disappointed and you're sure to find one you'll really enjoy. A few suggestions to get you started: Sunken Scotsmen, Sable Saison, and Red Sea Rhino. These land on different parts of the spectrum and are all tasty. See you there!

Just went to Saltwater last night and LOVED it. We went as a group of four and tried a handful of beers - South End Session Ale, Big Treble Amber Ale, Don't Get Confused Belgian Tripel and a couple others. I liked them all, although South End was definitely my favorite. The place itself is awesome, so much more than I expected. They have large communal tables outside with cornhole boards and high tops and leather chairs inside with table shuffleboard and TVs. The place was packed but to the perfect level - still being able to get a seat and talk over the buzz of people. Great service, super nice people. You can get growlers to go and these glass jugs. Only downfall is the parking situation, but there's not much they can do about that... There was a food truck out front when we went so we could grab a bite if we wanted and I guess the Delivery Dudes (?) people bring food if you order. We just stayed for a few beers then ate on Atlantic. We'll definitely be going back!!!

  • David B.

Go where the locals go. Great beer and great location. Lots of options to pick from. If you're unsure, try the session ale. And the food carts that rotate in are delicious, though the food can be on the heavy side.

  • Jenny D.

nice local brewery, friendly and knowledgeable staff and easy / convenient location. had the bone-a-fied blonde (Belgian style blonde) ...thirst quencher! should be fun place to hang with friends - there's several games /tables set-up. looking forward to going back

  • Christina S.

So, three stars because of my expectations, which may not be in line with yours... This is truly a brewery...immediately off Atlantic and the train tracks, with a warehouse brewery in back, as seen thru the bar...the bar is small but modern, with a college crowd drinking the locally brewed beer. Picnic tables in a small patio outside with cornhole toss and other games. I expected food or snacks with my beer, but there was no food to be found, and a sign on the door that food had to stay outside (not sure where food is supposed to come from). Anyway, I would go again for a beer, but have no expectations of food. And I kinda think beer should be served with a side of fries and a burger....or pizza...or wings... beer alone just makes no sense to lil ol me. The parking is crazy. You have to park on the street and walk a good ways. I wouldn't go again on a Saturday. See, I learned a lot in one visit!

    (3)
  • Robert D.

Had a sampler of 4 different homemade brews for a reasonable $5 BUT the small bag of chips was $4.72--ouch! They do not have a kitchen/city regulations so they gouge you for a 50c bag of chips--terrible!. The 4 samples of brews were only marginal. I would be shocked if this place is in business more than a few more months.

  • Alyson M.

This is by far my favourite brewery in the area. It's clean, has a great ambiance, and the beer is delicious. I've been here a bunch of times and will keep coming back! I loved the Fying Scottsman when they had it, I'm crossing my fingers they brew it again soon. For now, my go to is the Tides of the Reef Room pale ale and the South End Session. I'd recommend getting a flight if you've never been here before. They have a juke-box (do people still call them that?), cornhole, & shuffleboard. I love that they started having food trucks come by. I prefer the general atmosphere of Saltwater over the other breweries I've been to in South Florida. The tours are great too! I highly suggest checking this spot out for anyone who hasn't been.

    (5)
  • Justin T.

This place rocks! Owners are the shit, staff is knowledgable and friendly, and the vibe in the tasting room is irie! 25% off growlers on Tuesday, never miss it! Cheap beer but high quality, fresh! Love this place!

A wannabe micro brewery. Poor service and unimaginative beer.

  • Randy B.

I've Been To Quite A few Of Breweries. And there have been none I have not found a beer I like but this one did it. I was here for part of St Patrick's day and every beer I tasted was worse then the previous one. I would not go back to this place

    (1)
  • Gina P.

I've been meaning to check out this place since it opened back in Jan and finally got the chance. Having been to other similar local breweries like funky Buddha and due south I was kinda expecting a similar thing. The vibe of the place is similar but the beer is really not that great. Me and the BF got a flight where we tried (I can't remember the saltwater names) the blonde, the Belgian wheat, the milk stout and the highest % alcohol variety. The one I liked the best was the wheat I think it was called the waterman and BF liked the blonde. The beers all had the same kinda taste it's hard to explain. I think since it's brand new they are going through some brewery growing pains trying to get the formulas just right. I'd give this place another shot but I'll wait 6 months to give there beers some time to evolve.

    (2)
  • Jamie G.

I've been hearing about this place for a awhile and decided to give it a shot on Saturday night. Cool place..love a good home brewed beer,. great vibe.. not crazy about having to get food delivered..wish they did some sort of light menu (cheese plate chips/dip), so we left to go a restaurant for dinner. Felt like it was a young crowd. but loved the live music

    (3)
  • Katelyn P.

I love this place! Great atmosphere, amazing beers and tasty food trucks. It's a refreshing change of pace from Atlantic Ave and most other places in South Florida. They host fun events too on a regular basis, just check out their Facebook page or website.

  • Netalia S.

A few friends and I finally got around to trying this place and it was GREAT. The quality and taste of the beers were excellent, not to mention the prices. I was really surprised to get my bill and find out that my flight was only $6, and it was a pretty generous serving. The atmosphere is fun and the bartenders are super friendly and helpful. The only negative to this place is the lack of food and that it closes at 11 on Saturdays. Hoping to make this one of our regular spots now.

  • Mal W.

I want more than anything to love Saltwater. I think the vibe, the building, their marketing, their staff, are all top-notch. That's what gets me to keep coming back. Their beer, leaves something to be desired. That's not saying the beer is bad, just not the best you can get in South Florida. When you have Funky Buddha to the south and Due South just to the north, it's hard to compete. Still, I keep going back. Maybe I just like the atmosphere or maybe it's a hope that this time the beer will be just a little bit better. It's not so bad to keep me away, but not good enough to be my first choice on a trip to a brewery. But the mola mola is good enough to get me to come back in and order another. It's worth a trip, though. The growlers are very cool and even if you never refill it, it makes a great addition to your home bar. Give it a shot. Supporting local breweries is always a good thing to do. And maybe you'll find your favorite beer here. You never know.

I had one of their raspberry beers and it was absolutely delicious. Perfect for a summer day! They also have a shuffleboard and jenga which is a great way to make new friends!

  • Jason G.

Everything is great here except the beer. Everybody, and I'm not being hyperbolic either, literally, every person I talk to at local bars (Pig, South, FBL, Biergarten, Global Tap, Microbrew, Tyrst...) say the EXACT same thing, the place is cool but the beers suck." I don't know if its because apparently this place is funded by some rich dad who's son wanted to own a bar, but for god sakes use some of that money on hiring real brew masters. If not, turn this place into a Crackle Barrel or something. This place has tons of potential but it will always be near the bottom of the brewery options until they start making respectable beer. Seriously, why on earth would you come here when you can go to Funky Buddha or Due South right up the street?

    (1)
  • Rachael D.

I love absolutely everything about the Saltwater Brewery! The environment is super cool and makes you feel at home. They have everything from cornhole, shuffle board and (my personal favorite) Bimini ring toss. The beers are all unique and have great flavor - my favorites have to be the Raspberry Reef and South End. Keep up the good work boys!

My friends and I had been waiting for SaltWater to open up for months, so we were really excited to check it out last night. I had posted on their Facebook to make sure that they would be playing the National Title game, which they promptly responded that they would be. When we arrived, parking didn't seem to be a problem. All of the 'marked' spots were taken, but we followed suit with several other cars and parked on the grass. There weren't any No Parking or Tow Away signs so I think parking there is ok (no ticket the end of the night either). One couple ordered the flight and liked most of the beers they tried. Everyone else ordered the Flying Scottsmen and liked it so much that they continued to order it all night. As a non-beer drinker, I was a little bummed that all they had for me to drink was water. I'm not a snob though and knew I was coming to a brewery, so I didn't expect much, but hoped they'd at least have soft drinks. I spoke with one of the owners on my way out and he said that in a few weeks they will have a selection of 11 different wines, as well as soft drinks. He said that they are trying to focus on their beer in the first few weeks of opening. I appreciated this :) We really enjoyed the atmosphere here! Unlike Due South, it is very clean and air conditioned inside (the clean part might change over time). We really liked hanging out on the couches and watching the game as if we were at home! Our only real complaint was that they closed at 10:00pm. Maybe this will change over time or maybe it was because it was a Monday night, but we had to leave while the game was in the middle of the second quarter and our group thought it was quite the 'buzz kill'. We look forward to frequenting SaltWater while it's still a hidden gem!!

If you like beer and a good vibe this is the place for you.....way low key but beautifully designed. They don't serve food but you can bring your own. Also another fun thing is they have shuffle board, board games, and fun stuff to do while having great beer. I will definitely be visiting this place again over and over. My type of spot!!! =) Waterman Wheat is the jump off!!!!

The beer is amazing. The staff are really cool people and really care about their customers having a good time. They will give you a tour of the brewery which is amazing. If you're in the area you definitely got to check this place out.

Saltwater Brewery is an awesome brewery with a lot to offer. The bar itself is beautiful, there is seating inside and out from high tops to couches, picnic tables and of course the bar itself. The atmosphere is very friendly and casual and the bartenders are knowledgeable and willing to answer questions and make suggestions. The patrons are relaxed and chill as well. You can tell everyone involved is passionate about beer and the brewery. In addition to menu standards they feature seasonal beers and even gluten free! Saltwater is a great place to bring visitors, family members and beer experts or novices. The age group of people is a wide variety as well, you can feel comfortable with your friends and your parents. If you've been curious, you need to go try it!

If you like craft beer and live in the delray area it's great. Typical atmosphere wth games and beer and no food. The place is decorated beautifully and bathrooms are clean and upscale. Very large. Scale building and very clean. Location was probably low rent or purchase price but inside feels nice. Beer only with some other selections if beer isn't your thing. No food and that's the disappointment here. Not even snacks..nuts..chips or pretzels. If I'm gonna have more than one beer I like munchies..the rest of the world does too. Prices are fair. Customers from every age group here as well. Worth stopping for a beer. If you're going to make the money then small bites need to come soon.

The hubby and I stopped by to kick off a friend's birthday celebration last weekend. I can't say anything about the beer because I didn't have any. The white wine I had was nothing fabulous. I didn't make an appearance inside and it appeared pretty nice. The cornhole boards and shuffleboard entertained the ones that didn't want to sit around and talk. The parking sucks, but there's nothing nobody can do about that. Don't go hungry since they only serve booze. You can always have a pizza delivered if you're too lazy to go anywhere to grab some grub.

Went on opening night with a group of friends and has a great time. Parking was a nightmare, which is no surprise on opening night, however I counted only a dozen actual parking spots for this venue, not very good planning for a venue with a large capacity. I just hope they plan for some valet parking or a remote lot in the future or coming here will not be very convenient. I as well as almost every one else parked in adjoining lots that were very well posted with tow-away signs. It make your night less enjoyable to have to check for the tow truck every 30 minutes. The location and atmosphere are well done, a clean look and a comfortable lay out make it a nice place to have a beer. Now lets get to the beer. They have several very solid beers here. The Screaming Reels and the Don't get Confused Belgian Tripel are Excellent. The Sea Cow milk stout, and Stinger IPA were good but nothing to right home about. The South End Session Ale and the Scotch Ale are not noteworthy at all and I would recommend skipping these all together. Over all a pretty good job for a new brewery in the growing South Florida Brewing scene. I look forward to coming back and trying their new beers, and see how this place progresses.

South session is a classic and awesome beer that rivals any other mass craft beer. The guys at saltwater are super knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. Go for a tasting in the room and stay outside with a game of cards to enjoy a summer day with some awesome beer.

Nice to see a brewery that is not in a makeshift warehouse setting for a change. You can tell some serious cash was dropped into this beautiful freestanding brewery. Staff is super nice and helpful. Unfortunately we only had time for 2 beers. The raspberry beer was ok, not great. That same beer barrel aged , the rasbarrelled, was DELICIOUS. We went on a Sunday and they had live music, and a little party in the corner. Excited to try more beer from this beautiful brewery.

Raspberry brew is awesome! Extremely nice facilities! Parking can be a little problematic but is worth it for the beer!

My first time visiting SaltWater was to see the USA Belgium World Cup Game -- so I'll start with that. The place is - well, a brewery - nothing fancy...just a few high tops, some picnic tables outside and a couch area in front of a big TV ideal for game watching. The parking was pretty limited, granted we were there for a special occasion but it was pretty rough. From the outside, the brewery looks HUGE but the actual bar area is actually kinda small. The beer was decent, staff was friendly but know there is NO food (or food trucks) but you are welcome to bring in your own food if you so desire. South End Session Ale was husband's fave - and, for those non beer drinkers, they serve wine too.

Great place to watch a game! Friendly staff and great beer. Try the Belgian tripel "don't get confused" Overall a great experience. Large screen TVs, corn hole, and table shuffle board.

Stopped in here for a flight during a beer tourism trip to South Florida. Found them all very drinkable, they were out of a couple so I did not taste them all. Pleasant place to have a beer or two, similar to a lot of tap rooms popping up all over Florida in the last couple of years. More toward the commerical/professional looking place as opposed to the "friends basement" feel in some places.

Awesome vibe beers aren't bad! I really like the Sea Cow Milk Stout and South End Session Ale!!!!! Gorgeous space with shiny equipment! Staff is super knowledgable and very friendly! Only negative is that it's right by I95 and the train tracks so it can get noisy outside! But otherwise it's great to have a brewery right by my old high school!

  • James L.

It's a brewery as stated in their name, not a restaurant. The IP's are excellent and there are many different types of brews for different tastes/types. Great place for happy hour!

My husband and I are craft beer lovers, so we were excited to try this place. It has a very cool, clean look, although it is a bit too bright inside. The menu board had at least 10 different varieties of beer. I got a blonde ale, which I did not care for, and then switched to the pale ale, which was decent. I expected the beer to be much better, since that is all they make there. I wouldn't say that I would not go back, because I love the concept of the place and supporting local breweries, but this place would not be my first choice to grab a tasty brew. It's unfortunate, because I really wanted to love the place.

Idk what people are talking about... John G...Their beers are delicious!! Screaming reels IPA is more consistent and outdoes hop gun and cat 3 any day! Theyve got some pretty interesting styles too- including a strong ale with black currants and aged sea grape wood. Overall, the indoor/ outdoor bar area is a chill place to spend an afternoon or evening! No food, but you can call Delivery Dudes or bring your own. And they support local musicians- live music Thursdays and Sundays! :)

An awesome new brewery that is really easy to get to! An amazing atmosphere with great outdoor seating. The refurbished tap room is very fitting for their excellently brewed beers. A must see in Delray for sure! The staff is personable and easy going, they are passionate about what they do.

Beer really didn't do it for me and the service wasn't very good. Since they don't serve food they encourage you to order in your own food. Beware though you have to eat it outside.

Obsessed with South End!!! Best beer I have ever had, usually a Magic hat #9 fan or any beer with flavor and not too hoppy, so if you like that you should definitely South End!! Peter, one of the owners and the artist of all their logos and art work is so nice and amazing at what he does, go and check out the brewery! Play corn hole and drink beer!!!

Awesome place. If you like craft beer then you have to come here. They have some year round brews plus new ones all of the time. Have tried a bunch of different types and none of them suck. They have a chocolate one right now which is my favorite. I liked the Sea Cow and Mola Mola as well. No food here but can get food delivered if you sit on the front patio. Also have a shuffleboard table and cornhole outside.

Cool place and great atmosphere but the service is the complete opposite. I went there last night and the bartenders purposely charged an extra dollar per beer to tip themselves. I called the bartender out on it and he apologized and claimed it was a mistake but if it was truly a mistake he would have pulled my change out of the register and not his tip jar. In addition, I have never been to a bar where the bartenders think it is acceptable to pour you a beer with over an inch and a half of head. As a paying customer i would expect a full beer for my money and not 3/4 of a beer with 1/4 glass of foam. This happened every single time I got a fresh beer. Bartenders here are lacking to say the least. Which is surprising because they don't need to do anything other than pour beer into a glass. They don't even know the prices of the 9 different options they offer. We should just call them tap-masters and not give them the satisfaction of calling them bartenders.

The building is beautiful, and the staff was nice and friendly but the beer was not that good. I tried several and they seemed flat, not enough carbonation in them. Maybe because they are new but the beer isn't great. Go to Due South or Funky Buddha for better beer.

Visited here on 1/5/14. It is so wonderful to see the locally brewed beer scene expand in South Florida. First off the building that the brewery is housed in has history as it was built in the 1950s and I believe started out as a feed store when the Delray Beach economy was based on agriculture. As you enter the brewery there is a wonderful biergarten on the south side with plenty of wood tables and even a cornhole game. This is a great place to enjoy a beer with friends as well as to meet new people. No detail was spared as there were even rail posts to hold your beer when it is crowded. There are old nautical light fixtures on the exterior by the front door. Going inside you see beautiful woodwork throughout the interior of the building. The centerpiece is the production vats set up behind the large bar. Attractive marine artwork adorns the walls. There are great wine barrel tables in the tap room as well as additional seating. Now to the beers! A beer menu is prominently displayed over the bar. The GF and I went with the Milk Stout and South End Session Ale. The stout was tasty. It had a nice cocao flavor to it. The session ale was crisp and refreshing. I can foresee having a few (as the name implies) of these on a hot day due to the low ABV. I observed some patrons were enjoying tasting flights which is a nice way to sample a few beers. Sadly we only had time for a beer each... We will be back very very soon. It should also be noted how welcoming and professional the staff were. We had the pleasure of meeting Peter who is a co-owner. He took the time to explain the beers and the brewery. The server ( brunette female in her 20s) behind the bar was very friendly and knowledgable. There is a small gift shop that sells t-shirts and pint glasses. In addition there are two different sizes of growlers (32 oz. and a gallon I believe) for purchasing and refills. This brewery is a great addition to Delray Beach!

  • Scott R.

Was not impressed. The place looked great but the only real reason to visit a brewery is for the beer and that was a disappointment. I tried 3 different beers and they all seemed flat and strangely bland, almost watered down, too bad because I was really hoping for something more like Due South.

My BF told me about this place who works for Yard House and I love this place great atmosphere knowledgeable staff. The people who make the beer come behind the bar and talk to you about the beer very impressive! The bartender is cool and friendly they have an awesome lounge and patio tables the vibe is great!!

I'm happy that they opened at this location west of downtown Delray and away from the crazy traffic. The only bad thing about this place is parking. Either way, they did a good job on decor. You can see where they brew their beers behind the clear wall. The big wooden tables outside are great. I've also seen a bunch of people with their dogs. This is kind of like where the Delray hipsters hang out. So if you have a mustache you'd like to show off, go to the saltwater brewery and grab a beer. I'm not much of a beer drinker but I enjoyed their beers. I got the sampler and the mayday.

Went here with my wife while on a mid week date night away from the kids while on vacay in Delray. We sat outside in two Adirondack chairs, and it was really nice out there, comfy. We chose outside because inside, although a fairly nice decor, looking like a brewery in behind the bar. There was the ubiquitous large screen tv' everywhere, impossible to get away from in FLA. We had a flight of beer, two of which I liked, a milk stout an a Belgian style beer, both excellent and there was a pumpkin stout that actually was pretty bad, but I can't blame them for trying. Also there's a lot of beer there for 6 bucks! All in all a really good place, with a relaxed vibe and really good beer!

Right off of I-95 as you exit Atlantic, on the west side of the freeway, this place looks HUGE from the outside, but in reality is pretty small inside. The evening my husband and I decided to try it out was a Thursday, early evening. We got lucky and found a place to park right out front. It was DUMPING rain, so we went inside and were greeted by LOUDNESS! The drinking area is pretty small, but we got lucky as there was a high top available for us to sit. Even with maybe just 25 people inside, the place was so loud it was difficult to have a conversation. The craft drink menu is good. We tried the Sea Cow and the Deep Drop. Both were bold and tasty! When you enter, you order at the counter/bar, and then find a seat. They do not offer any food here, but you may bring food and eat it outside, or have it delivered. One table had pizza delivered. As long as it's not raining, food must be eaten outside where they have MUCH MORE space for sitting and chlling. If it's dumping rain like it was the night we were there, they'll allow you to bring your food inside. I asked about the lack of food, and suggested food trucks. Apparently, Delray Beach has an ordinance against food trucks, so they're not able to offer that. So, either eat before you come here, bring food with you, or order pizza from across the street. If you're eyeing this place for a drink with a group, I'd suggest you plan to sit outside. The indoor area is just so small and it's tough to hear anything. Service is friendly, and beer is good. Only minuses are the parking and the lack of indoor seating. I'd check this place out again when we could sit outside at a table, eat some grub, and just kabitz for awhile.

This place gets better every time we come back, always a fun time and the beer is getting so much more tastier.Laurie was an awesome bartender! But be careful bringing your gf or wife, she might think about remodeling your house after checking out the inside of the brewery.

I didn't think we would be able to find another brewery in Florida as good as Funky Buddha but I was wrong. Saltwater was just as awesome. Someone put some time and love into the tasting room, it is beautiful. Everything is a shiny wood and unless I was too drunk to remember correctly, they said they redid the old building that was there and re-purposed the materials. I could be just making that up but I think I am at least somewhat correct. Anyhow the most important part is the beer and it too was fantastic. They had about 12 beers on tap and we got tasters of all of them. The beer was awesome! If you are a beer lover, Saltwater should be on your list. The guy helping us was very knowledgeable about beer and nice to talk to. They also have a nice outdoor patio with games and more pretty wooden tables.

Great atmosphere, different and yummy beers, and awesome staff!! Shuffle board and corn hole are here. They also have a lot of weekly/monthly events to be a part of. Highly recommend this place to expand your pallet and meet great people. Food truck visit daily to fill your tummy with.

A beautiful building and very cool layout/atmosphere.....that's where the positives end since the beer is rather awful!!...... I live about 1 mile from the brewery so was really excited to have them local, I have visited many times and practically forced myself to acquaint to their beers. I have tried the whole range, sometimes in a single night! and what overwhelms the most is that they all taste the same. I am no connoisseur but a Belgian blond should not in my mind taste the same as a Stout, a Scotch ale etc etc. Not only do they all taste the same, but they all have a weird indescribable aftertaste that is most unpleasant. I thought at first it was the pipes/tanks etc being new that were responsible for the taste, but over 1 year later, that bunky taste is still there. I see a lot of positives reviews here which baffles me since every person I know who has been here agrees with me, some more vehemently than myself and refuse to go. I am a huge advocate of local brewerys, I sincerely hope they can grow and evolve as a brewery and produce a decent beer as I will keep giving them a chance , until then, I drive the extra miles to Due South to stand in a simple warehouse because they make damm good beer!!

I love small breweries like this but it is a tough review to write. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing. The whole layout of this place is great even though the bar tender at the time was a bit attitudey for my tastes.Everyone can have an off day so I am not holding that against anyone.anyway, Love what they managed to do to this place....I just don't like the beer. We went through two flights of beer and couldn't find a single one that we enjoyed. I am not opposed to giving it another shot some day but for now I will venture to find more local brews and make my way back here soon enough.

Went in on a quiet saturday afternoon. The service was awesome. The bartenders were super friendly with everyone they interacted with, and it was a very pleasant experience. The beer itself, ranges from awful to decent. They are a young brewery so i assume they will mature with time. Its a bit sad that they are trying to make so many different kinds when they really might want to focus just making a few awesome beers. But to each his own. At least it is incredibly cheap to try all their different beers Overall a nice time and a fun place, but the beer really lacks in quality and depth.

    (3)
  • Bobby D.

Service was abysmal. In fact, this was not my first weekend visit and the service is consistently horrific. Unless you want to buy a T-shirt. Then there's always at least 1 employee sitting there playing with his phone waiting to sell you a T-shirt. (Yes, I bought one!). Nice shirt. On to the beer....I had a regular beer, (Boneified?) and it was great. I could sit there for quite a while trying different beer. They have a food truck parked until about 10-ish on a weekend night. Different food truck every night. Set your service expectations very low and you'll leave happy and beer-i-fied!

Heading home from a staycation at Singer Island so my friend and I decided to stop by SaltWater Brewery and catch the Dolphins game. Ordered a flight of raspberry reef, octofestbier, sea rhino and sea cow. Loved them all. My friend is a fruity beer drinker so she loved the raspberry and octofestbier. I loved both sea beers because they were stouts. The sea rhino is the sea cow infused with Rhino doughnuts (yum) and vanilla coffee beans and had amazing coffee notes. Really smooth and flavorful. The bartenders were great. Friendly and willing to answer any questions about their beers. We loved the tank one of the bartenders was wearing and each of us purchased one. Ended up loving the place. Wish it was closer to where we live. We'd be regulars.

I kept forgetting about this place as its west of the active part of Atlantic Avenue and a friend invited me to tag along for her brother in law's birthday at Saltwater. Perfect excuse as it's more merry checking a place out with folks you know. Upon arrival on Friday evening, the lot was already packed so we had to drive around twice until someone left a space on the grass parallel of Atlantic Avenue. It was only 5:30 and the place was already bumping! Since I hadn't had their beer before, I was unsure of what I'd enjoy as I usually order Stella or Yuengling at other bars. The bartender was generous to let me sample a couple of them before I settled with the Spiny Tail Ale that was really good. I also had the Bonafied Belgian Blonde which was good but not my favorite. The brewery may seem small on the inside, but its kind of like the TARDIS and everything falls into place. There is also ample seating outside. We had some delivered pizza as Saltwater doesn't have a kitchen. They only sell bags of chips from what I was able to see. You're only allowed to eat outside though. They mentioned that they will have food trucks come by at some point and will announce it on facebook and twitter. I feel like Saltwater is a cozy little secret hidden on Atlantic because everyone there were real nice folks!

I give it a solid "meh". The place is beautifully finished and has a lot of good seating, but the beer is mediocre for the most part. One or two that we tried tasted a little odd, a bit like the tank got cleaned and the sanitizing solution hadn't been mixed properly. Maybe when they've been around for six months, their beer making skills will improve. For now, there are much better breweries in the area.

Good vibe. Passed this on the way to the Garlic Festival. Another Brewery off of Dixie Hwy and the Railroad Tracks. Nice set up, but smaller than Funky Budda. The outdoor seating in front is a plus. As for the beer, nice selection with some cool names. I'm a pilsner guy and they only had one on tap, the Session Ale. Good beer and very easy drinking with no aftertaste. I enjoyed it. Did I like it, well I bought a hat:) remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!

So glad Salt Water Brewery opened! I stopped by last Saturday around 3:00 to check out the new brewery right off of Atlantic. I was expecting it to be dead since it was kinda an off hour. Boy was I wrong. The place was packed! Parking was a bit of an issue and I had to circle around a few times before I could squeeze into a spot. Most areas were either Tow Away Zone or the spaces belonged to another business that was open. I bet if you go later and those shops are closed it may be better. Everyone was parking in the grass too which I would have been happy to do but that was full as well. No biggie I have a tiny little car :) Walking up to the front door they have a decent sized area outside with large tables and lots of seating. Good thing cause I can see this place being a full house all the time. The crowd was a great mix of men and women from seniors to early 20's. I was kinda confused on where to order our beer since most bars you just get on up there and grab a bartender but after standing around for a few minutes we noticed a single file line forming in the middle and quickly joined the masses. There was only one guy serving beer to the line so it went pretty slow. No worries, it gave me time to decide which beer I would be trying. I'm a dark beer kinda gal so I chose the Sea Cow Milk Stout. I loved it! Rich, thick and delicious malty flavor. Just what i was looking for. My sister-in-law went with the sampler. You choose 5 flavors and I think they come in a 4oz size. I tried a few of her's and they all were pretty tasty. The bartender suggested the Flying Scotsman to her and that one was my second favorite after the Sea Cow. We were lucky enough to grab 2 of the comfy leather bucket seats and I loved that not only do they have high top tables but leather couches and chairs and fishing magazines on all the tables. We would have stayed longer but we started to get the munchies and since they only offer beer ( which I already knew) we hung out for a little and headed off. I can't wait to go back and try all of the beer they offer and possibly take the tour. Great hangout, great beer and very friendly staff. Good job SWB!

We found this place after a nature walk at the nearby conservatory. It was such a surprise to find a good brewery in Florida (being from Portland, OR). I was so impressed. The Belgian Triple Don't Get Confused was by far the best. Definitely do a tasting, there are numerous beers on tap and the pourers are knowledgeable and friendly. They do not serve food but allow you to get delivery so we ordered a pizza. Great place to hang out and enjoy good brews.

My girlfriend and I came here after visiting Morikami gardens on a Saturday afternoon. The vibe was pretty relaxed and the place was full-ish, but not crowded. There is seating inside and out, as well as plenty of places to stand. We took 2 seats at the bar and ordered quickly. My girlfriend had a Blonde and I had a pale ale. Both were excellent. There were also growlers for sale. We enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

I love this trend of Craft Beer Breweries, and they're sprouting up more and more. This place is pretty cool. I enjoyed the Belgium Wheat Ale (5 percent alcohol), and my guest was drinking the Amber Ale (7 percent alcohol). My beer had a hint of citrus in it. Very good. Was able to polish off three beers during our two-hour visit. We sat at one of the outside benches/picnic tables, and met a very nice couple who, like us, travelled from Northern Broward to check this place out. We got into an awfully swell conversation with them, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Meanwhile, folks were playing cornhole on the outside, while others were inside watching sports on TV, sitting on couches and generally having a good time. Like I said, I love the vibe here. These places lend themselves to good conversation. I will say this, though ... It would be nice if they had one or two outdoor TV's. Not a big deal though. I love the crowd here, which is a mix between 25 to 50 years of age. These are folks who are interested in drinking beer for the flavor of it. That seems to be the case at all of these micro breweries. Folks seem to be more educated on taste, flavor and alcohol content. I know I certainly am. A couple of helpful tips we learned. With regard to food, apparently they are not allowed, for whatever reason, to have food trucks, like the Funky Buddha in Fort Lauderdale, but they do have some type of delivery service. Also, I was speaking with the ID-checker person at the door as we were leaving, and he mentioned that your car will not get towed if you park in the Tire store's parking lot at night after it closes. He also mentioned that you can park in the evening on the sides of the street without fear of getting your car towed. In short, parking is strange, but not hopeless. The tri-rail train will go by every now and again. We had joked at my job that we could take the tri-rail here from Broward in theory (as opposed to making that 25-minute I95 drive from Cypress Creek in Fort Lauderdale). Can't wait to return and try more beers.

Great little place just west of 95. I really like the set up with the bat and smaller tables. Good variety of different beers. Try the screamin' reels!

The first time my husband and I went here was for a donut and beer tasting and it was packed! We ate dinner beforehand but wish we hadn't because they had a fabulous Cuban food truck that night! I love dark beers and so naturally I tried the Sea Cow milk stout and I am going to be honest, it did not finish well. So then I tried the "infused" Sea Rhino and it was the same as the cow, something was just off. There was just something about the aftertaste I did not enjoy at all. The next beer I got was the Pumpkin Stout and while the actual taste wasn't necessarily bad, it was the same strange finish. They were both lacking. My husband got an Octoberfest which wasn't bad and if I go back I'll probably have to try one of their lighter beers to see if that's the problem. They have AC which is a plus. Lots of outdoor seating and the live music was awesome so that made it more enjoyable for a night. Cool events like rhino donuts coming out for a beer tasting make it appealing but parking is horrendous and there are other breweries close by that top this one.

Great microbrewery atmosphere. Bags and shuffleboard to play. Huge selection to choose from. 16 beers of their own on tap. 4 different stouts, Red Sea Rhino was my favorite.

On a recent trip up to Boynton to explore the area we stopped by SaltWater Brewery when it popped up on the "nearby" section of our Yelp app. Pulling in the place looks MASSIVE from the outside. It's got the train tracks right behind hit and a nice area out front where you can sit outside. Apperantly the older gentlemen that were there on this Saturday afternoon didn't read the signs that said smoking customers had to go to the side of the building. They were all lighting up cigars while sipping their beers. Walking in my first thought was "Wow, this place is spotless!" They have a nautical theme that will make you feel like a captain - or a drink pirate. Had to use the restroom and it too was spotless. My wife came out of the womens bathroom raving about HOW NICE the bathroom was - apparently they have a chandelier in there? We got up to the bar and at this time of the day, as expected, there were only 10 other people in there. The bartender was super friendly and I told him he could fill up a flight for me with the most favorite beers they had. He set me up with: Waterman Wheat, Chocolate Mayday (Porter), Screamin' Reels, and another one which I can't remember. My favorite was the Waterman - smooth and refreshing. They also had a small selection of wines - so the wife was super stoked to be sippin on some prosecco while I evaluated my beers. Cool spot, and I am sure it gets packed on the weekends. Really great to see yet another home grown brewery in the BPB.

Visited here right at noon expecting a microbrewery so we were sad when we found out they didn't serve food but hubby still sat down and enjoyed a couple beers. He loved them both. They also had a shuffle table to play on and a comfortable lounge area.

Fun place, it is a tasting room for a brewery, not a restaurant. I'm not a big beer person but I have really enjoyed saltwater brewery We've been there seven or eight times-- really prefer the darks . Mola mola and Sea Cow. The IPAs are very good as well. Food has to be outside due to the state law. Food trucks are there quite a bit and deliveries available. Quarts and gallon growlers are available to take. Not all varieties are available to go and are only available in the tasting room. Recommend ! For - a nice beer on the way home and a quart growler or 2 for the home.

Woot woot craft beer lovers this is your spot. With the new trend of crafting beer we need more places like this one my only complaint is this place is all the way in Delray Beach and live 30 miles south from the location. However for my luck I work five minutes from the venue babooom! This place is mazing basically this is how it works they brew their beer in house. They have around 20 different kinds from your regular american ale to double IPA yummm! I tried their Belgium, Milk chocolate stout(I really recommend you this one) and their red ale not my favorite but you have to try everything. Prices range from 6.50 a pine to 9 box depends on the beer. The have new beer every two weeks I believe. They also have take out which I thinks is an awesome idea if you like some of their beers you can buy it and take it home with you. I wish they have some food that would really help, but for now I'm super happy with what they have. This is a very hoppy place so go and visit it will make you happy

I have been to Saltwater Brewery numerous times and have enjoyed myself each and every time. The atmosphere is great, very clean and great beer. This brewery has been well thought out conceptually and really caters to their customers. The tasting room is very nice and is there to try all the beers/fill a growler or 3. They do not serve food because Delray Beach won't let them, but they fought the city and are finally allowed to have food trucks in front. You can always bring food inside or to the patio along with your dog(s). The brewery is located just west of I-95 on Atlantic Ave in an old Barn/Warehouse style building but has been completely renovated inside. The outside and Patio area have been nicely landscaped and the inside is beautiful. You can tell thought and money went into the design and restoration of the building inside. All of the woodwork, bar and glass is very nicely redone and clean. The tasting room/bar is all custom and very clean. There is also a sitting area to the side with couches and a few TVs. Inside there is shuffle board, a jukebox/photo booth and they even provide a few cell phone charging stations. There is some very nice ocean themed artwork and the beer menus on chalk boards are nicely done explaining what is on tap and how much. The brewery is locally owned and the staff is very friendly. They were more than wiling to explain all the different beers they had available. You can also take a tour of the place on one of their many scheduled touring times. One of the owners is always there along with the Brewmaster and typically they make rounds talking to the customers. Overall this place is great, the beer is always changing and they constantly have new beers and creative infusion beers on tap. They run specials and you can try a flight of beer for only $6. I highly recommend checking it out, you won't be disappointed.
